Sayed Moukhtara - Managing Director

Sayed Moukhtara, Managing Director of Moukhtara Holding Co Ltd., is a businessman with over 27 years experience in the Gambian market. Sayed Moukhtara has been the MD for Nachif Confectionery since 1976. In 1980 he felt the time was right for the company to diversify into other sectors of the market. After extensive research and in-depth observation of the market need, Sayed Moukhtara established the first of the new divisions, Sifoe Farm a horticultural production and export farm. With this establishment the Moukhtara Holding Co.Ltd conglomerate was born. Not only is Sayed a shrewd businessman but he is also constantly aware and committed to improving the Gambian environment. His skills within the industry have not gone unnoticed. Sayed Moukhtara has received the Gambia Chamber of Commerce & Industry award of Best Industrialist in both 1999 and 2002.

Alida Moukhtara - General Manager

Alida joined the family business in 1995. She is the Head Office Administrator, General Manager and Personal Assistant to the MD.
Alida oversees all group administration and is in charge of the efficient operations of each division.

Alex Bangura - Accounts Manager

Alex has been with the company for two years. Alex is in charge of current accounts, receivables, payroll and procurement.

Constance Baldeh - Print & Design Manager

Constance has been with the Company for over 14 years; she is responsible for the proficient operations of New Type Press. As the Print & Design Manager of New Type Press, Constance has the very demanding task of keeping up with demand. A full time hands-on manager, she also oversees the production of all sign-making and printing of other materials such as KaPlast's plastic carrier bags.

Peter Khoury - Production Manager

Peter has been with the company for over 12 years. He is solely responsible for two key divisions, NYAMBI SAWMILL & MARISA BRICKS. Peter has a very demanding role providing two main sources of building materials in The Gambia. Also careful and meticulous management is required of him especially for the brick manufacturing as this division is run 24 hours to maximise production time in an attempt to keep up with the very strong demand. Peter's background and knowledge within the industry has led to his involvement in the management of the construction of the Nyambai Farmer's Market. His ability to work under enormous pressure has proved that Peter is certainly amongst the best in the field.

Camil Chaya -Project Manager

Camil has worked for MHC for 12 years. Originally the Production & Development Manager, Camil was recently assigned as Project Manager for the Bonto Industrial Zone. Camil's first challenge was to reclaim the land from the river which is a rare accomplishment in The Gambia. After the task was successfully accomplished, everything was ready to embark on the adventurous project. Camil administered the construction of the industrial zone's infrastructure, started up four new ventures within the zone, and supervised the establishment of the water distribution system and BOP, the central workshop.
